Industrial Visit - Guiness Anchor Berhad

That day, everyone reach around 1:30 pm, half an hour earlier than the expected time. Ivan briefed us about the packaging lines etc production processes and much info about the brewing process had been delivered. For instance, the brewing process is now mainly managed through a software called BrewMax and therefore, requires only minimal manpower. There are 3 packaging lines (bottling, canning and drafting) procuding 45000 litre of beers per batch, which are further separated to 14 different brands. QA methods employed includes checking the pH value, color intensity, flavor testing etc. To cut down production cost, ratio of water to beer had been reduced from 5:1 to 4.3:1 now. However, we must also point out that GAB still retains its bronze accreditation. The industrial visit ends with 2 cups of free beer and a lovely group photo.

Clubs and Societies Fair - University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus Great Hall

They long-awaited annual clubs and society fair is here!

Just like every other previous years, university freshers scout eagerly for their preferred clubs and grumble on the expensive mandatory membership fees.

People ask why should they join IEM? Well, there's a few reasons:

1. We organize career fairs
2. We organize industrial visits
3. We provide a platform for engineers to establish valuable networks amongst themselves
4. Members get privilege on activities / events organized by the club.

Please do like our Facebook page by following the link HERE.

See you again at the induction night next week!
